About us

SeedAddress is a browser-based tool for deriving a reproducible mnemonic phrase from an address location and a password. It is designed to make recovery practical while keeping the derivation inputs and result in the browser.

Why SeedAddress?

At SeedAddress, we understand the importance of privacy and security in the cryptocurrency world. With the rising popularity of cryptocurrencies, it's crucial to have a reliable and efficient way to safeguard your investments. Seed phrases, also known as mnemonic phrases, act as a lifeline to your funds. However, we noticed that many users struggle to remember or securely store their seed phrases.

SeedAddress was built to address this challenge. The browser uses the coordinates returned for your selected place and your password to derive a mnemonic with WebCrypto. The address is used to find coordinates; it is public information and should not be treated as a secret.

Our Commitment

The password, its hash, and the derived mnemonic are not sent to our server or stored in cookies. They remain in transient browser memory and are cleared when the page is reloaded or the flow is reset. Address search and place lookup are handled by Google Maps through server actions. This design limits what SeedAddress receives, but it does not make a weak password or a lost backup safe.

We value simplicity and user-friendliness, and our intuitive interface reflects that. SeedAddress is designed for both beginners and seasoned cryptocurrency users, making it easy for anyone to generate and manage their seed phrases.

Join the SeedAddress Community

We believe everyone should understand the recovery trade-offs before using a deterministic mnemonic. SeedAddress can be convenient, but you should keep a secure offline backup and follow the security guidance of your wallet provider.

Use SeedAddress only after checking that the selected coordinates, password, word count, and language reproduce the phrase you expect.

Thank you for learning how SeedAddress works. Review the generated phrase carefully and store any backup securely before using it with a wallet.
