Welcome to SeedAddress. This policy explains what information is handled when you use the service.

Data Collection

Mnemonic derivation runs in your browser with WebCrypto. Your password, its hash, and the resulting mnemonic are not sent to SeedAddress and are not stored in cookies. They exist only in transient browser memory and are cleared when you reload the page or reset the flow. The address itself is public information, not a secret.

Vercel Web Analytics measures visits to the blog, About, Privacy Policy and Protect your wallet pages. It does not load on the generator, mnemonic result or contact form. We do not send custom events or form values, and remove query strings and fragments from measured page URLs. Navigating between measured pages and the generator loads a new document to keep analytics scripts separate from recovery secrets. Vercel processes visitor and device information under its Web Analytics privacy documentation.

We do not load advertising trackers. Hosting, security and provider logs may still exist according to the relevant deployment configuration.

Address search and coordinates

When you search for an address or select a place, the search text and selected place_id are sent through a SeedAddress server action to Google Maps. Google Maps resolves the selected place to coordinates on the server. Those coordinates are then used by your browser for local mnemonic derivation. Google Maps may process requests under its own privacy policy.

Contact form

If you explicitly choose to contact us and provide the required consent, the server validates and sends your name, email address, and message through Resend for delivery. The server applies in-memory rate limits to contact requests. Resend may process this information under its own privacy policy.

Information Security

We apply reasonable technical measures to the service, but no internet transmission or electronic storage method is completely secure. Do not enter a password that you reuse elsewhere, and keep a secure offline backup of any mnemonic you use.

The “Protect your wallet” page includes Amazon affiliate links. These links may contain a public Associate tracking identifier, and SeedAddress may earn a commission on qualifying purchases. We do not load Amazon scripts or tracking pixels on this page. Following a link takes you to Amazon, where its own privacy and cookie policies apply. The backup checklist stays in your browser's memory and is cleared when you leave or reload the page.
